PREPARATION FOR CERTIFICATION

The Certified Quality Technician is a paraprofessional who, under the support and direction of engineers or quality supervisors, analyzes and resolves quality problems, prepares inspection plans and instructions, selects and applies sampling plans, prepares procedures, trains inspectors. , performs audits, analyzes quality costs and other data, and applies basic statistical methods for process control.

The PXS Certified Quality Technician training program aims to provide quality technician preparation and prepare individuals interested in taking the American Society for Quality CQT exam.

EXAM:
 

Cada candidato requiere pasar un examen escrito que consiste de preguntas de selección múltiple que mide la comprensión del cuerpo de conocimientos (Body of Knowledge, BoK). El examen de 100 preguntas, 4 horas, se ofrece dos veces al año. La inscripción al examen se hace por cuenta de cada participante directamente con ASQ. Las fechas, instrucciones y directrices de examen serán dadas en las primeras clases. El examen se puede tomar en inglés o en español. El examen se realiza en inglés.

REQUIREMENTS:
 

Candidates must have worked in a full-time, paid role. Paid work as an intern, co-op, or any other course cannot be applied toward the work experience requirement. Candidates must have at least four years of higher education and/or work experience in one or more of the areas of the CQT body of knowledge.

Candidates who were previously certified by ASQ as a quality engineer, quality auditor, reliability engineer, software quality engineer, or quality manager, the experience used to qualify for certification in those fields applies to certification as a quality.
