WHAT IS THE SHINGO MODEL OF EXCELLENCE?
The Shingo Excellence Model creates a sustainable path towards operational excellence based on principles that are planted in each company to lead it to obtain better results. Instead of trying techniques, methodologies and tools in isolation, the model first creates the foundation for sustainable excellence. The Model is based on three revelations which have been proven through years and years of practice by the best companies in the world. The three revelations are:
- Ideal outcomes require ideal behaviors.
- Beliefs and systems drive behavior.
- Principles lead us to ideal behavior.
THE WAY OF PXS
Our vision as a company calls us every day to be the reference company in the practice, communication and promotion of excellence. Our model, from the beginning, has been to work together with the best in the world.
How to increase our Lean knowledge to a world-class level?
This question led us to the Lean Bronze, Silver and Gold certifications of the consortium composed of ASQ (American Society for Quality), AME (Association for Manufacturing Excellence), SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) and of course the Shingo Institute. With our many years of quality, statistics, continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, we approached Shingo Institute to understand how to become an affiliate. This last part of the process began at the end of 2015, and took us until January 12, 2017 when we were informed that we had met all the requirements.
